Britt's Bedtime Ritual

9:00 pm is bedtime for the kiddos here at our house. I stay home with them and enjoy staying up late versus getting up early so, it works for us. Adam and I usually take turns putting them both to bed or one of us will put one child to bed and the other will put the other child to bed.

We always read a story to Britt and then he says his prayers that go something like this: "Dear Jesus, please help Britt have a good night's sleep and I pray about dogs and cats in Jesus' Name, Amen." The dogs and cats is sometimes substituted by lions, tigers, alligators, hippos, giraffes, etc. This time is usually a winding down time if Mommy does it. If Daddy does it, it is a whole different story.

Wrestle mania happens when Adam puts Britt to bed. When Britt says his prayers and Adam is in there with him Adam interrupts with Oh Lord, Thank You Jesus, Glory to His Name and Britt giggles and starts his prayer over again and again until his Daddy finally lets him finish. It is so cute to hear him in there laughing and having such a fun time with his Daddy.

After that no matter which one of us is in there we tell him we love him and to have a good night. It is such a special time and he is a very sweet little boy. Hopefully, we can continue this for a long time to come and Britt doesn't outgrow it very quickly.
