A Conglamoration Of Things

It has been a while since I have posted, so I am going to include the highlights of what has gone on since I last wrote....


Field and Track Day:
Britt got to experience his first field and track day at school.  Let's just say he is not really the competitive type.  He is perfectly happy with his slow and steady pace.  To be honest, I really don't care.  I just want him to have fun at whatever he does.

Gulf World Field Trip:
Britt's kindergarten field trip was to Gulf World (an aquarium).  I have never been there before but was impressed by the place.  It is no Sea World but the shows were good and I couldn't believe how close they let you get to the animals.  They brought a sea lion within five feet of us.  Britt even got to be one of the dolphin trainers during the show and he thought he was big stuff. 

Paisley has enjoyed spending time with her cousin Celie on several different occasions.  It is so nice to have someone her age for her to play with.  They went to the park, watched Bubble Guppies and Jake and the Neverland Pirates together, rode bikes, went for rides on the golf cart, and tried to fish in Meme and Papa's pond.

Fishing Tournament:

The local marina as well as many other businesses sponsored a fishing tournament for kids 3 & up. The first 350 kids to sign up got a rod & reel, tackle box with a few supplies, a t shirt and a goodie bag. We signed the kids up and they had lots of fun trying to catch some fish on Saturday. Paisley caught a pinfish with her Meme's help and Britt caught a Spanish Mackerel with me. They both were extremely proud of themselves. We even went back to fish some more after the tournament.
