I love to smell Auntie Anne's pretzels when I walk into the mall food court. The taste is even better. As far as I am concerned, they are the best warm pretzels sold anywhere.
Recently, I was sent an Auntie Anne's At Home Baking Kit to try out. I thought it would be fun to make with my family. I chose to make the pretzel dogs and then some regular pretzels with the dough. It was more than enough for my family of four to have some of each.
The Results:
The pretzel dogs were great. I had never tried them in the mall, so I was anxious to taste them. Very easy to make too. The whole process took about 45 minutes (allowing 30 minutes for the dough to rise.)
The pretzels were a little more tricky. Mine did not look like the ones you buy from the bakery. They were a lot more plump. I am sure it was just lack of skill on my part. They still tasted really good, so that is all that matters.
The Auntie Anne's At Home Baking kit would be a fun project for you and your little ones. There are lots of other recipes you can use the kit for. Check out all your options here:
