Accross from the the entrance to the beach their is a state park that we usually stop at to use the restroom before going onto the beach. It has these huge trees that are great for climbing. Britt HAD to have his picture sitting on them,so we decided to get a few more of the rest of the family.
When we first go to the beach, the sun was blistering hot but after a little while, a breeze started and it was pretty comfortable. My Mom was very thoughtful and had made chicken salad sandwiches and brought chips and lemonade so, we had a picinic lunch on the beach. I have to say, my Mom makes some of the best chicken salad but then again, everything she makes is pretty tasty.
We spent a lot of time down by the water. The kids made friends with an older boy that was part of a group near us and had a great time paling around with him. He was "showing" them how to catch fish.
After we finished up at the beach, we headed to the splash pad to rinse off and change our clothes. We then headed back home. On our way, we stopped at Sonny's for supper.
We had a nice relaxing day. I wish we would have gotten to take my parents more than once to the beach but it just didn't work out.

Really cute pictures. It is always nice to have someone with you that can take a family shot for you. :) it looks like that beach has a great shallow area to play and sit in. how nice!
