Thankful

I am thankful for so many things.  For those of you that don't know my husband lost his job a few months ago. At first, I was devastated.  He made enough money to allow me to stay home with our kids.  For me that is a big deal.  I worked for the first 8 months of my son's life and was completely miserable leaving him with someone else each day.  Not that I wasn't very thankful that he was with his grandmother and aunt but because I want to be with my children and play an important role in their life.

When Adam lost his job I had no idea what we were going to do. We had lived in Gainesville for about five years and were basically alone with no family close by.  Luckily, Adam's parents have been more than gracious to us.  Allowing us to stay at their home until we find a place to live.  Not to mention the fact that Adam's Dad hired him to work for him, so we wouldn't be without any income.

I am so thankful that God allowed me to meet and marry Adam.  I love him so very much.  Not to say that we don't have our differences at times but I know he is exactly who I am supposed to be with.  He is a sweet, caring, loving husband, father and best friend.  I wouldn't trade him for the world.  Most of all I love and admire his love of the Lord.  He has been called to be a Minister and I am behind him 100% in whatever path he takes.

Britt and Paisley are the lights of my life.  I am so proud of both of them and love them with all my heart.  Even at their young ages, you can tell they already love the Lord and that is the most important thing.  They are both very different from each other but the joy they give me is beyond what I could describe with words.  I thank God for entrusting Adam and I to raise them and I pray for His guidance along the way.

I am also very thankful for my parents and family members.  Without them, I would not be where I am today.  My mom has told me before that even when we were very little she would pray for who we would marry one day.  I thank the Lord for God fearing parents who instilled values in my life and made me who I am today.

There are so many other things I am thankful for but most of all I am thankful that God sent his son, so that I could be saved. And that no matter what life may bring, I know I don't have to worry or carry any heavy burden but that I can cast all my cares upon Him.
