4th Of July

Our town decided not to do fireworks this 4th of July due to budget cuts so, we decided to go the a neighboring town named Alachua. As we were all about to leave, Adam started to not feel very well so it we went ahead without him. I felt so bad leaving him but knew the kids would be disappointed if they didn't get to go.

We had a really nice time. There were tons of people there. The local news said to expect about 20,000 people and I am sure it was pretty close. There were tons of local vendors and surprisingly even some chain restaurants with booths.

Even though Alachua is a small town, they put off one of the best fireworks displays I have ever seen. It lasted well over a half an hour.
